Tony Lamey specializes in welding and assembling large power winches and has been a part of the Thern crew for 33 years. Whether it’s behind a machine, managing the shop floor, or even welding a trophy for Thern to use for a company competition, Tony has dedicated decades of time and energy to Thern.
33 years ago, Tony was working at Dodge Center. He does not live in the city of Winona, so the commute was long. When Tony saw the ad for a job at Thern, he applied, as the opportunity was closer to home. As he learned more about Thern during the application process, he grew excited about the prospect of working with Thern’s large power winches. Tony was interested in welding and assembling those large power winches himself! While working at Thern, he grew passionate about working with great people to produce the highest quality of product. After being at Thern for 33 years, he states that not much surprises him anymore as he prides himself in being an expert at what he does.
Not only is Tony an expert welder and assembler, but he is also an expert deer hunter. As a deer hunter, Fall is his favorite season. Tony appreciates the crisp and refreshing weather that comes with it. When he is in Winona, he enjoys going out to eat or making a trip to Fleet Farm.
Thern also wants to thank Tony for his service to this country. Before any of his employment, Tony served 4 years in the US Army which he describes as a great experience.
Tony has put many years of hard work, determination, and loyalty into the company. He has been a great addition to the Thern family as a helpful and dedicated employee. He is an outstanding example of someone who holds Thern’s core values. The team is lucky to have Tony a part of it!
