Meet the Thern Team – Tanya Nascak

For more than 27 years Tanya has been an important part of the Thern team. Tanya arrived as a temporary, part-time employee back when she first started her career here at Thern. Quickly, she came to realize that she enjoyed her time in the office as well as her colleagues. As time progressed, she was met with new opportunities and responsibilities to get her where she is today. Tanya has seen all aspects of the business, she started in the engineering department, from there she moved to purchasing, planning, scheduling, lean implementation team, and sales. Tanya has now moved back to the engineering department as the Engineered Solutions Manager.

Over the past 27 years, Thern has become a family to Tanya. Thern has aided her in many ways during her time here such as providing tuition assistance when she pursued her associate’s degree and her APICS certification. She found that the business and the people around her were supportive through family celebrations, funerals, and everything in between.

One of Thern’s core values is giving back to the community, this encourages the spirit of giving in Thern’s employees. Tanya has participated in many events to give back. A recent event was the decoration of Christmas trees as a part of Thern’s donation to be auctioned at Winona Health’s Fantasy of Trees. She has also been one of Thern’s Meals on Wheels volunteers for the past 10 years. She enjoys the other causes Thern supports like hosting the Red Cross blood drives, 10 days of Giving, and Toys for Kids.

Tanya’s favorite quote is “Follow your heart but take your brain with you”. This idea has helped guide her through her adult life. 21 years ago, it guided her to Las Vegas where she married her husband. They have celebrated their 10-, 15- and 20-year anniversaries in Las Vegas, including a walkthrough of the chapel each time.

We are so thankful that your head and heart have led you to a wonderful 27 years here. We can not wait to see what the future holds for you!
