Tijdens de jaren van het NASA shuttleprogramma werden speciale 4HW50-75M elektrische lieren gemonteerd op de bovenkant van lanceerplatforms 39A en 39B. Deze units werden gebruikt om de toegangsplatforms voor pendeldiensten omhoog en omlaag te brengen wanneer dat nodig was.<\/p>\n

Thern leverde de lieren die nodig waren om de ET Orbiter-toegangsplatforms op Space Shuttle platformen 39A en 39B omhoog en omlaag te brengen. Lieren werden geleverd met gegroefde trommels, eindschakelaars en redundante remmen.<\/p>\n

Vanwege de gevaarlijke omgeving met zoute lucht kregen de lieren een epoxycoating.<\/p>\n

De platforms worden vergrendeld wanneer ze in positie zijn voordat er personeel op wordt geplaatst. De lieren werden geleverd met een motor met twee snelheden om bewegingen met hoge snelheid en positionering met lage snelheid mogelijk te maken.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
