In 2010 onderging het koepelstadion van de stad Vancouver, BC Place, een unieke transformatie – een renovatie zou het van een koepel naar een openluchtstadion brengen. Het renovatieproject omvatte ook de installatie van een uitgebreid, uniek stadionreductiesysteem. Het stadion heeft een totale capaciteit van 55.000 zitplaatsen, maar voor kleinere evenementen is het bovendek niet nodig.<\/p>\n

Thern bouwde 54 op maat gemaakte roll drop lieren die zijn ge\u00efnstalleerd aan de onderkant van het bovendek en het cirkelveld. Ze zijn allemaal verbonden met een centraal afstandsbedieningssysteem en worden gebruikt om grote stoffen draperie\u00ebn uit te rollen en weer op te halen die, wanneer ze worden uitgerold, een vals dak voor het stadion vormen, waardoor het kleiner lijkt wanneer dat gewenst is.
