They wanted a hoist that could handle lifting the mixer out of the tank, as well rotate and drop it into the back of a lorry without having to set the mixer down to re-position the hoist. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1692299451924{padding-bottom: 35px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section\">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock\">\n<p><strong>Mixer Hoist | Designed and Custom Built for BBC Pump &amp; Equipment\u2019s Mixer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grant Kissel with the BBC Pump &amp; Equipment Municipal team showed Yorktown a solution to their problem: The Thern 5PT30 series davit crane with a 3,000 lb. capacity, and over 9 feet of reach. The customer was adamant that they did not want to manually crank the mixer out of the tank. The solution was a 115v electric winch with a 6\u2032 pendant control for easy operation. They mounted the 24\u2033x24\u2033 pedestal on top of the 18\u2032 wide tank and made sure that this hoist was going to hold up over the long haul, so they made a custom mounting plate that would extend over the small platform that they could secure into the wall using some stainless steel angle iron brackets. They mounted the front two holes of the baseplate into the top concrete wall with Hilti anchors and then ran 5\/8\u2033 stainless steel all-thread through the entire tank wall to secure their stainless angle mounts.
