Our response to COVID-19

We are open – An update from Thern Inc on our response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Thern takes its responsibility to its customers, employees, and community very seriously. In the wake of the COVID-19 virus and rapidly changing business landscape, we want to let you know that we are OPEN FOR BUSINESS and that our manufacturing operations and customer support teams are adapting to keep all orders and shipments moving on schedule.

We serve a variety of markets from theatre, to water/wastewater treatment plants, to industrial applications such as construction, mining, transportation, aerospace and defense….many critical to our nation’s infrastructure. For that reason, our Winona Minnesota headquarters and manufacturing operations remain running at full capacity, even though many employees began working remotely Wednesday, March 18th and will continue to do so until the COVID-19 crisis subsides. We have leveraged the technology required to keep our employees in touch with our customers, and with each other, while maintaining a safe work environment for all.

Should you find yourself in a breakdown situation and unable to procure equipment or replacement parts from your regular supply chain servicing winches, cranes, hoists, or theatre rigging equipment, please contact us. Thern specializes in custom solutions and quick turnaround and we continue to do so even in today’s challenging and changing environment.

That said, the health and welfare of our employees, customers and suppliers is our top concern. We will continue to follow best practices as recommended by the CDC and will honor the special requests of our customers to the fullest extent possible. We are taking appropriate actions regarding enhanced sanitation practices, providing additional distance between employee workstations, limiting access to our facilities, restricting business travel, and actively mandating that any employee that comes in contact with someone displaying COVID-19 symptoms or showing sign of illness remain at home.

If you have questions about your order or wish to discuss an active need for new equipment to support your project, please call us at 800-843-7648. On behalf of the entire Thern family of employees, we wish you and your family continued health and safety during these unprecedented times.
